Strips of flank steak are marinated overnight in a very flavorful mixture of hoisin sauce, soy sauce, ginger, sherry, barbeque sauce, green onions and garlic. Skewer, grill and serve as an entree or appetizer.
A rich and elegant savory appetizer, worthy of the time and effort. Excellent for wine tasting parties, holiday gatherings and special occasions. The best part is that it can be made days in advance and topped just before serving.
All ingredients come from the freezer or the refrigerator and are assembled at time of use. Freshly cooked beans are better than the canned variety so have some on hand always, all beans work well for this wonderful soup! Ladle into your nicest soup plate, find a warm cozy place to sit and sip your soup.
Like english muffins, slices of this bread must be toasted to taste right. Grandma used to bake this in large greased cans coated with cornmeal, which added to the english muffin appearance. Today she uses non-stick pans.
